Important information repairs

The Zippo European Repair Clinic handles all repairs sent in by owners of a Zippo product (lighters, candle lighters, hand warmers).

Unfortunately, we are currently behind with our repair service due to sick-leave, so a repair can take about 8-9 weeks instead of the 4 weeks Zippo is used to. We ask for your understanding and will do everything in our power to process the pending requests as quickly as possible. Once repaired, your product will automatically be sent back to you.

Before sending your Candle Lighter, please review the following:

Before sending your Zippo Candle lighter for repair, check the instructions and warranty information by clicking above.  If your candle lighter still does not function properly and is within the warranty period, please follow the repair steps below. 

*Please do not attempt to perform repairs yourself as it could damage the lighter beyond repair.

*When sending a candle lighter for repair, it will be replaced with a standard model (color may vary) similar in style.

1. Prepare Zippo Candle Lighter To Ship

  • Take lighter outside and discharge fuel

2. Pack Zippo Candle Lighter

  • Include a copy of your sales receipt as proof of purchase with the Zippo candle lighter.
  • Please include a short note with your name, address, phone number, email address and description of the problem.
  • Pack the Candle Lighter in a padded envelope or small package.

3. Send Zippo Candle Lighter

Send your package to the Zippo Repair Clinic with a tracking number and insurance.
